Exhibition: Through the Eyes of Los Voluntarios

Through the Eyes of Los Voluntarios: A Photograph and Poetry Exhibition is on display in the Arboretum Library from July 1 – September 30, 2010.
The Los Voluntarios group started in 1966 at the Arboretum. Today, there are over 300 members who contribute over 30,000 volunteer hours participating in every aspect of Arboretum programs and services.  The exhibition of photography and poetry celebrates the contributions of the Los Voluntarios and the great wonders they see here. Judges for the exhibition were the 2009-2010 executive board: Linda Clelland, Carol Cuthbertson, Bill Collister, Dorothy Collister and Bob Weber.
This photograph of Mr. Walter Hollywood was taken by Margaret Page, one of our volunteers. Hollywood, a daily visitor at the Arboretum is always happy to share his stories to people who come to the garden. This photo was awarded 1st place by our judges.
