About This Event

Our Fall Plant Pick: Pearl Bluebush  Maireana sedifolia

Looking for some silver accent for your garden?

Native to Australia, this drought tolerant shrub typically grows up to 3 feet tall. It grows well in dry, alkaline soils and poorly in wet soils. Beautiful green-blue foliage makes a great addition to floral arrangements.

The Arboretum introduced the Pearl Bluebrush to Southern California in 1990. We recently planted it in our Crescent Farm where you can see it.  The plant is hard to find for purchase.

The Pearl Bluebush will be available at our sale!
