Shakespeare’s Gardens and Green Worlds

About This Event

Pomona Faculty-Campaign Martha Andresen 2014 1 Join Martha Andresen, Professor of English, Emerita Pomona College, in an exploration of Shakespeare’s love of nature. From his observations of the minute details of every flower and herb, to his gorgeous lyrics of seasonal flowering, Shakespeare uses gardens and “green worlds” as locales for human enrichment and enlightenment.

What enhanced pleasures inspired by Shakespeare’s artistry can we find in our own gardens?
