STEVEN MARY – EXECUTIVE CHEF OF THE PATINA GROUP CATAL RESTAURANT AND UVA BAR AT DOWNTOWN DISNEY WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 6
3-5pm in the Oak Room
Sponsored by Catal Restaurant and UVA bar, a Patina group restaurant, we welcome Executive Chef Steven Mary back to the Arboretum.  Through the years, Steven Mary has been an active and giving participant to so many of the Arboretum’s programs, and in particular has served as a role model and chef for all the children in our Roots & Shoots Children’s program.  In the last twelve years, he has impacted the lives of over 1000 children by opening new doors for them. Many of the children attending Roots & Shoots have seen wide open green space for the first time here at the Arboretum, and Steven’s role in showing them where plants and food comes from, and then how to cook it, is so important. In addition, he has delighted so many adults with his delicious and innovative classes here. One of the most favorite classes was a series entitles Gardening & Cooking in a Mediterranean Climate with Jill Vig.  In between his Arboretum volunteering, he has also been a chef at the Ritz Carlton/Langham Hotel, executive chef of Pinot Bistro in the valley, and is now executive chef of Catal (a Patina Group restaurant) in Downtown Disney.  He has a fabulous menu planned so be sure to call for a reservation quickly!
