In our 2013 classes we will be exploring different ways to use color pencils to make exciting and fresh botanical paintings, such as water-soluble pencils techniques, solvents, color pencil sticks, pen-and-ink drawing combined with color pencils,and more. Also, the classes will have an emphasis on composition, which, in my opinion, is an aspect of botanical art as important (and more) as technique and color matching. All levels of experience are welcome.  
Cristina has a background in drawing (graphite, charcoal, pen and ink), two-dimensional design, watercolor, and color pencils. Her work has been shown at Filoli, the Los Angeles Arboretum, and Chapman University.  She is a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists, and The Botanical Guild of Southern California.
