LIVE ENTERTAINMENT SCHEDULE

Friday, May 4

4:30pm-5:30pm - Composer and Guitarist Marc Irving Weber - Arboretum Main Entrance

Playing throughout LA, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Kern Counties, Marc’s live music is unique, reflecting his training as a composer, and yet highly improvisational with a raga-like, “non-Western” feel. “People often tell me that I sound like I’m playing sitar, oud, or harp.” One can hear jazz, folk, rock, blues, and quotes from Classical music or Broadway in the mix, too.

5:30pm–7:30pm - Big Band Theory and The Lindy Sisters - Main Stage

Nothing in the universe compares to the energy, impact, and lush dynamics of a big band. Performing in the timeless style of the Swing era, Big Band Theory leaves an indelible impression on their audiences as they relive songs from the Great American Songbook.  The band features selections mostly from the swing era, with a dose of 50's Sinatra and 60's hipsters. Join us as we "Play Among the Stars"!

Lynette, Loralie and Linda Lou have a heart for swing music. Masters of 1940’s melodies, these ladies have been mesmerizing audiences with their amazing harmonies for many years.  Singing together seems as natural as breathing to this trio, who have quickly become one of the most sought after specialty acts around.  Their three-part harmony is reminiscent of classic trios such as The Andrews Sisters, The Kings Sisters and The McGuire Sisters.

5:30pm–7:30pm - Fred McCall-Native American Style Flute /Joyce Nunamaker-McCall-World Percussion - Sculpture Garden

We perform music of peace. We are grateful to our Native Americans as they have given us their "Magic Flute" which makes this music possible for all of us to enjoy and to allow healing in our troubled times. We invite you to join us and relax and put your worries aside even for a few moments.
