Arboretum Adventures
Free with Admission
10am-12pm
Meet in the Rotunda.
Join your adventure guide as we explore The Arboretum. Each Saturday is new and exciting, and will have a different theme relating to nature. Come early as space is limited to 25. Children of all ages are welcome! Family adventures will go on rain or shine so dress appropriately!
Saturday, November 5 – Fall Foliage (Part of Let's Move at the Arboretum)
Saturday, December 3 – Cactus Garden

Hiking (Part of Let's Move at the Arboretum)
Saturday, November 19
Price: $12 per family for members; $14 per family for non-members
Time: 10am – 12pm
Where: Meet in the Rotunda
The outdoors can be a fun and adventurous place to spend an afternoon with the family. But are you prepared? Today we will learn valuable tips and tricks to keep your family having fun and playing it safe. Learn the 5 W's, know what gear is essential, and understand the importance of hydration and fuel for our bodies. Bring your hiking shoes as we will practice our skills with a hike throughout the Arboretum.
Winter at the Arboretum
Saturday, December 17
Price: $12 per family for members; $14 per family for non-members
Time: 10am – 12pm
Where: Meet in the Rotunda
Shorter Days, chilly nights, rain and snow. Winter is upon us again! This is the time for hot chocolate and warm coats for us but what does this mean for wild animals and plants? Learn what various animals and plants must do to prepare and protect themselves from the long and cold winter. We will also make our very own dens much like a bear in the wilderness! We are going to start our hibernation off right.
Bookworms: A Free Storytelling Program
Meet at the Main Entrance.
Come explore The Arboretum Library and our great story trees! Enjoy plant & nature stories and a take-home craft. It is an indoor/ outdoor program that will go rain or shine, so please dress appropriately. This is a free program for members and free with admission for non-members. This program is recommended for ages 3-6.

Shadow Mountain Band on Saturday, 11am-1pm
Moonlight Trio and Barn Dances with caller Ginger Alberti on both Saturday, 1:30pm-2:30 pm and 3pm-4pm and Sunday, 1pm-2pm and 2:30pm-3:30pm
