Your donations support The Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden's educational programs and the 127-acre historical site--a resource for Southern California.

Memorials & Tributes

The Arboretum offers you several distinct ways to honor your loved ones and make memories for future generations:

Benches - $10,000

Includes a 6 ft. wooden bench and brass plaque. Location options are available from pre-designated sites. Final site is subject to Arboretum approval.

Trees - $2,000

Includes metal plaque/tag. Existing trees may be "adopted" or new plantings may be selected from scheduled additions to the collection. Final site is subject to Arboretum approval.

Memorial & Tribute Funds

Any amount collected over a three month period to a designated program.

Memorial Services

Services are subject to a rental fee based on number of participants. Additional fees may apply. Services may not be held during public hours.

Matching Gifts will increase your membership level

Many generous corporations take part in matching gift programs. If yours does, you can upgrade your membership level. Ask your employers for a matching gift form, fill it out and attach it to your membership application.

Planned giving/Bequests

Information on remembering the Arboretum in wills, or by establishing charitable trusts, and other forms of planned giving can be obtained through the Development Office.

Give to The Arboretum Library

Library Pledges

In order to better service the Los Angeles area community, we are in the process of converting our card catalog from a manual format to an easy accessible digital resource. This means greater accessibility to our library for the general public. If you, your family, your friends, or your neighbors are interested in participating in a botanical or garden related project it will be easier to access the wealth of information we have available at The Arboretum Library. Converting the library to digital format is an extensive and all-inclusive project. If you have experience fundraising for a non-profit organization and would like to donate your time or you would like to make a monetary pledge to the Library please contact Susan Eubank.

Magazine Subscriptions

The Arboretum Library has subscriptions to three hundred current periodical titles on subjects ranging from gardening, horticulture, botany, California native plant life, environmental issues, and agriculture. As a donation you might consider renewing a subscription or soliciting a magazine subscription for us.

Book Donations

New or used books and other reading materials are always welcome. Donations that do not fit into our collection or duplicate items we already own are sold at the Library’s Book Sales to raise funds for new purchases. When a book is donated to the library a special arboretum bookplate with the donor’s name will be included within the book. If you are wondering how you can help expand the library, please check out our Wish List. We also have a special Children's Wishlist that lists the Children's books The Arboretum Library needs most to support The Arboretum Bookworms Story Time.

Donation Form

Cash gifts are tax-deductible, as provided by law. Donations are made to the Los Angeles Arboretum Foundation L.A.A.F. You will receive a receipt for your financial donation at the end of this transaction.
