Plant Information

About This Event

Every first Wednesday of the month at 1:30 pm Arboretum Plant Information Consultant Frank McDonough covers current horticultural topics including landscaping, gardening, design, water-saving strategies and other pertinent topics. Frank also highlights the most interesting plant and gardening questions of the hundreds he receives every month and talks about the latest pests and diseases that threaten our gardens and landscapes.

January 3rd:

This month’s class will cover the myriad of ways you can multiply your favorite plants. Cuttings, air-layering, seed, even cloning via tissue culture will be covered. Of course, we’ll be looking at all the interesting questions that the Plant Information Department has received this December and we’ll also look at the gardens greatest hits -an overview of what was blooming, beautiful and breathtaking over this last month here at the Arboretum.

Come on over to the Palm room beneath the Library on Wednesday January 3rd at 1:30 pm. Bring your questions, show and tells, and thirst for knowledge!
