Come join our wildly informative Botanical Information Consultant, Frank McDonough, on Zoom for our monthly Plant Information class. These popular talks offer deep dives on a wide range of plant topics, guided by Frank’s unique insightfulness and enthusiasm.

Join us on the first Wednesday of every month at 1:30pm!


January 3rd –Bare-root Madness, the tree P’s: Planning, Planting, and Pruning. Last Minute Color for SoCal Winters.

February 7th –Other Bare Root Beauties…Shrubs, Vines, and Perennials. 20 must plant natives for your front yard.

March 6-Short-lived, but Spectacular -How to mix and manage these native beauties that have lots of flower power, but no staying power.

April 3 –The Return of the $50 Tomato? -My last foray into food farming faired average as the results of my struggles to bring the cost of growing my own tomatoes down leveled off at $5 per tomato; can I bring it down even further this time? We’ll find out as we return to the quest to grow an edible tomato at a credible price.
