About This Event
Explore oil painting against the rich backdrop of the Arboretum gardens. Under the coaching of Ron Pettie, you will learn skill building exercises, watch demos, and develop your individual artistic expression while completing 2-3 paintings.
En plein air is a French expression that means “in the open air.” It is used by artists to describe the art of outdoor painting, capturing landscapes and views in natural light.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
The Los Angeles Arboretum Foundation reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the class non-viable. If the Arboretum cancels a class, registrants will be offered a full refund. There are no refunds for cancellations within 7 days of the start of the class. For all other cancellations, your payment will be refunded minus a 10% processing fee. Please arrive 15 minutes before class to ensure you have time to check in. Refunds will not be granted to registered guests who miss the class due to tardiness.
