COVID-19 Arboretum Library Closure and Services during Shutdown:
Due to Los Angeles County Public Health Department Guidelines the Arboretum Library is still closed. The Library staff is working on an operations plan which will need to be approved by the County of Los Angeles. This posting will be changed when the Library re-opens. It will probably by phased.
For those members who have books checked out there will be no fines and the books will continued to be renewed during the duration of the closure. All Arboretum Library programs in person programs are cancelled during that time as well, although Reading the Western Landscape Book Club and Arboretum Library Knitters and Makers are moving toward a virtual experience.
The Arboretum Library currently has 6,040 e-books to help you with your garden tasks and “Safer at Home” activities. Arboretum E-Books are available to Arboretum members only so Join Today.
If you are a brand new member and want to use the e-books, you can call our Membership office at 626.821.3233, seven days a week, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. PDT or email firstname.lastname@example.org to get a temporary membership number.
