They will learn the principles of Leave No Trace, learn how to be prepared for outdoor activities and to keep living things safe while doing so. This interactive program will highlight all of the badge requirements while interacting with the natural world!

    Brownies: Bugs Badge

Brownies interested in earning their Bugs badge will spend the day becoming bug experts! The troop will draw bugs, learn the life cycle, see bugs in action, and explore insect homes! This in-depth bug program will show the scouts that bugs are awesome and an integral part of the ecosystem.

    Juniors: Flower Badge

To earn their Flower badge, girl scouts will uncover the science of flowers, and explore the different flowers blooming at the Arboretum. They will complete flower art projects and learn about identifying flowers by their shape and time of year that they are blooming. Scouts will become flower experts!

    Cadette: Tree Badge

Cadettes can earn their Tree badge at the Arboretum. While on a tour of the gardens, the scouts will learn about the science of trees and how to identify trees through observing their surroundings. We will explore the connection between trees and living things through art-based activities and we will learn how to care for trees while deciding what kind of tree we would want to plant at home!
