Los Angeles Environmental Education Fair (LAEEF) March 12

Join us as several thousand families, educators, scouting groups, and students from all over the Los Angeles area come to network with local environmental community resources. You will learn about lifestyle solutions that impact the health of our planet through hands-on workshops and in-booth presentations. Other event activities include sustainable food sampling, tours, multicultural music, drum circles, science scavenger hunts, art activities, eco-friendly demonstrations, and nature games for all ages.

The Arboretum welcomes back botany Professor Matt Ritter of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, to discuss and celebrate Australian trees for Southern California gardens. El Niño or not, it’s dry in California and likely to get drier. More trees from Australia will be part of the solution toward creating beautiful, diverse, and resilient urban forests with less and less water. We’ll explore future drought tolerant, appropriate Australian species. This event will be partial classroom lecture and discussion and part tree walk in the Arboretum’s world class collection of Australian trees.

Join us for an EGG-ceptional Celebration! For kids of all ages. Egg hunts will take place continuously and Easter baskets will be provided. Event reservations not required. Cost: $3 per child members; $5 per child non-members (plus admission)
