Tram Tours
A tram tour is the perfect way to learn about the Arboretum’s history, view a variety of landscapes and be introduced to the many plants in our 127-acres. The 30-minute continuous, pre-recorded narrated tram tour begins and ends near the Aloe Trail.
*Due to weather, special events, holidays and other factors the tram schedule is not guaranteed and schedule is subject to change. Please call on the day of your visit to verify tram availability at 626.821.3222. Tram tour hours are 10am,11am, 1pm and 2pm, Wednesday to Sunday.
Cost: Adults/Children/Seniors are all $8 per seat. Children 2 and under who ride on parent’s laps, do not need tickets. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Where to purchase tickets: Tram tickets are available at the entrance and at the kiosk. staring at 9:30am on site. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis on the day of.
Tickets cannot be reserved in advance unless there is more than 15 people or more. Please contact Visitor Services at 626. 821.3222 for more information. Reservation must be made a month ahead and may be cancelled on the day of due to weather and other factors.
Wheelchair availability: The tram can accommodate one wheelchair per tram tour. Please let the front desk know if you will need a wheelchair seat. They are available on a first come-first-served basis. Advanced reservations are not available.
Strollers, walkers and large bags: Please be aware that the tram may not accommodate these items when it is full, storage is not available on site.
15 1/2″ step: Please note there is a 15 1/2″ step from ground to tram seating platform.
Tram etiquette: We ask that phones are not used during tour and conversations are limited so that everyone can enjoy the narration.
No refunds for missed trams.

Santa Anita Depot Tours
The Santa Anita Depot is a gem of history and treasures from the past. Arboretum volunteers are available to provide information and tours on a limited schedule. Tours are available daily between 10am-4pm. However, the schedule is subject to change. Please inquire at the entrance on the day of your visit about the depot hours.
Self-Guided Tours
With 127-acres to see, self-guided tours can take you anywhere from an hour to three hours, depending on your interests and time.
